AfterCare Instructions

Proper care of your Tattoo or Piercing can make all the difference in your level of satisfaction, prevent any medical complicatioins, and keep your Tattoo or Piercing looking good for many years to come.

EVERY procedure is performed in our sanitary facility with sterilized equipment AND high quality sterilized jewelry. We do our part to make sure your procedure is safe and has a long life, but what you do to it after you leave our facility plays a big part as well.

Tattoo Aftercare

Cleaning Your Tattoo

Germs lead to infection.

Wash your hands thoroughly before any contact with your tattoo.

For optimal care, wash your tattoo with an anti-bacterial soap for five minutes several times each day until it is completely healed.

After washing, gently PAT the area dry.

Do not "scrub" your tattoo.

Tanning or Swimming

You should wait at least 30 days after receiving your tattoo before tanning or swimming (especially in a chlorinated pool).

Sunlight

For best color retention, you should use a good sunblock (SPF 30 or higher) lotion before any sunbathing, or if your tattoo is frequently exposed to direct sunlight.

Piercing Aftercare

General Care

Standard healing time for a piercing is four to eight weeks. We strongly recommend you do not change or remove your jewelry during this time. Once it is healed, if you want to change your jewelry, bring your new jewelry with you (or buy some of ours) and we will help you change it the first time for FREE.

You should avoid wearing anything that touches your jewelry before your piercing is fully healed. You should only make contact with your piercing when cleaning it. In case of accidental contact, rinse the area of the piercing thoroughly and soak the piercing in a saline solution. Remember: Germs lead to infection, and infections make your piercing feel VERY uncomfortable or even painful, and look UGLY... ewww..

Cleaning Your Piercing

Wash your hands thoroughly before any contact with your piercing. For optimal care, soak your piercing in a saline solutin for five minutes TWICE each day. Do not "scrub" your piercing. Allowing it to soak before cleaning it gently will help keep the "crusties" from being pushed into your piercing and causing an infection.
